Priceline and Hotwire are not your level of hotel booking sites. Instead of hotels and their rates are clearly visible to the user, for both sites, I do not know which hotel you will stay until your credit card is charged. Why would anyone use this service? Because the savings can be enormous. Priceline and Hotwire Hotel rely to sell rooms that would not otherwise have been sold. Both sites act as an intermediary between the hotels trying to sell unsold rooms at reduced prices and customers to negotiate hotel I do not mind not knowing what is going to stay in hotel
When you use your Priceline bidding the lowest rate possible in a hotel. You know the general area you are staying in the star level of hotel, but not the hotel. If you search for “Priceline bidding strategy”, you will see there is a way to break the Priceline bidding rules. Instead of being able to make an offer of 24 hours for a hotel of your desired destination, you can bid at any time for almost as many times as you wish.
When you use Hotwire, instead of using a bidding strategy that can be a little confusing for some, prices are already there for you. Hotwire is actually more user friendly.

Priceline:
Pros: Amazing discoveries. You can use a pricing strategy for immediate rebids. Ranks Number 2 in customer satisfaction among the tourist sites, JD Power and Associates.
Cons: Not as easy as Hotwire, especially if you resubmit.
Hotwire:
Pros: Amazing discoveries. Named JD Power and Associates as tourist attractions in terms of customer satisfaction.
Pros: This is my personal opinion, but I think you can get better deals on Priceline for the simple reason that prices are predetermined and Hotwire, Priceline unlike when you get your prize.
